This refers to the personal data you provide to Boutique Orthodoxe when you create a customer account on the site, place orders on the site, or contact us. If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to submit the corresponding form. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided to Boutique Orthodoxe.

If you make a purchase through the site, we do not collect or store your payment card details. This data is collected directly by our payment service provider and is therefore subject to that provider's privacy policy.

Article 4 — Recipients and transfer of personal data

Within Boutique Orthodoxe, and for each processing purpose, your personal data is collected, processed, and retained by authorized Boutique Orthodoxe staff, strictly within the scope of their responsibilities, in particular our sales, marketing, and IT teams.

Your personal data may be disclosed to third parties as needed for processing, in particular to our providers responsible for shipping orders, to providers responsible for the development, hosting, and maintenance of the website and data storage, as well as to potential investors or other third parties involved in a merger, acquisition of all or part of Boutique Orthodoxe's business, change of control, or insolvency proceedings.

Your personal data is processed by our IT service provider, Shopify Inc., which is responsible for hosting and displaying our website and is located in Canada. In this regard, an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed by a European Commission adequacy decision concerning Canada, available on the European Commission's official website.

Your browsing data is also processed by Google Ireland Limited as part of our use of Google Analytics, for audience measurement and site improvement purposes. This processing may involve a transfer of data to the United States, governed by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Article 5 — Retention period for your personal data

  • Sending emails related to processing your order — 3 years from the last login to your customer account
  • Sending newsletters — for the duration of your newsletter subscription
  • Handling requests to exercise your rights over your personal data — 5 years from the closure of the request
  • Managing pre-litigation matters and disputes — until the final amicable resolution of the matter or until all avenues of appeal have been exhausted

  • _shopify_uniq — no data retained, expires at midnight (based on visitor location) the following day. Tracks the number of store visits per unique customer.
  • cart — unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores cart information.
  • _secure_session_id — unique session identifier.
  • storefront_digest — unique identifier, used to determine whether the current visitor has access to the store when it is password-protected.
  • _ga (Google Analytics) — distinguishes users from one another; retained for up to 2 years.
  • _ga_532402658 (Google Analytics) — used to persist session state within Google Analytics 4; retained for up to 2 years.

Article 8 — Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to determine directives regarding the fate of your data after death and the right to data portability. These rights are exercised in accordance with applicable law:

  • The right of access means you can ask us at any time to tell you whether we process personal data concerning you and, if so, which data is concerned and the characteristics of the processing carried out.
